  • Smathers Undergraduate Internship Proposal ($4,800) – the internship will support the timely work conducted by the Information Literacy Committee to enhance learning opportunities related to critical information literacy skills. These skills are based on the role of learners as consumers and producers of academic information and how they can foster a more informed, critical, and responsible approach to dealing with academic information.
  • Smathers Graduate Internship in Critical STEM Literacy: Marston Science Library (MSL) Curriculum Project ($7,040) – The Marston Science Library (MSL) Curriculum Project is intended to support the University of Florida scientific community, particularly undergraduate STEM students and Faculty. Informed by the ACRL (ACRL, 2015) and critical literacy (Freire, 1972) frameworks, the curriculum will employ evidence-based instructional design approaches to support learners’ inquiry within STEM disciplines (Critical STEM Literacy).
  • American Educational Research Association (AERA) SIG Instructional Technology Best Student Paper Award ($500) – April 2021
  • Association for Educational Communications & Technology (AECT) Research & Theory Division Early Career Symposium – October 2019 (One of seven recipients nationwide).
